Transmission oil is vital for lubricating the transmission and reducing friction. As the fluid breaks down, it loses it’s viscosity and is no longer able to effectively lubricate the transmission. 

For optimal longevity and performance, Nationwide transmissions recommends a transmission maintenance service every 24 months or 24,000 miles (whichever comes first).
